Horseshoe Spread
This is a spread that I've seen used very few times. Even so, it's very useful when attempting to get a general view, and is excelent as a first reading, to "break the ice" so to say. Contrasting with the previous spread, this one is more down to earth and not as psychological.
The cards must be spread like this:

Past
Shows us the origin of the querent's problem, or an important past situation; it's usually related to the following two cards.
Present
it shows us the querent's present situation.
Future
It shows the inmediate future, it must always be read under the light of the two previous cards.
The Querent
It shows us the querent's current position relating to what happens to him/her.
Environment
It shows us the environment and circumstances surrounding the querent.
What is against
It tells us about forces antagonic to the querent in the current situation.
Resolution
It tells us how events will develop.
